While production of the Model 3 may be slow in the first months, Tesla hopes to have more than 20,000 models hit the market each month by December, allowing anyone who is willing and can afford the highly coveted electric cars to get their hands on one.
Since its announcement over a year ago, Tesla has begun building accommodations that will make owning a Tesla more practical, including almost 6,000 Tesla Superchargers in many different places across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, as well as viewing galleries in shopping malls around the world. Tesla reports that there has been a total of 325,000 Model 3 reservations, which is triple that of what the Model S saw back in 2015.
Upon release, the Model 3 will com packed with full self-driving hardware, a 15-inch LCD console display, and the ability to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds. If you’re looking to get yourself a new Model 3, be ready to shell out $35,000 USD.
